THANK YOU...Knights Of Columbus Council 9740. The Knights of Columbus of the SCV have been with Heads Up for many years. Their annual support meansa great deal to the success of our programs for the children. On Feb. 14th, once again they were at the ranch presenting checks. In thelast 19 years the Knights have contributed over $85,000 to Heads Up. Truly, they are our Knights in Shining Armor. Photo: Tom Jezik, Ed Hoover, Charlie Allen, Dan Andrews On Feburary 14th Heads Up held the 1st Annual Valentine's For Heads Up Fund Raiser at Sweetwater Cafe in Agua Dulce. Thanks to the help from Sweetwater Cafe, their staff, and AWESOME chef (everyone is still talking about the food). The night included diner, champagne, flowers for the ladies (thanks to Sue Ostrom), and a romantic horse and carriage ride compliments of Valerie, Ken, and Rosie a champion carriage horse of Magic Ranch in Agua Dulce. Everyone simply loved this event. On Feburary 21st The Highlands Elementary School of Saugus performed the play "Annie Get Your Gun". This play was made possible by all the parents (of many talents) joining together as producers, set builders, ticket sales, costume makers, stage lighting, and all those other millions details that go into a live play. Director Rick Ferrante, and his family are long time supporters of Heads Up along with his neighbors; the Pistonetti's (yes Apple Jack's family) the Rivas and the Collins family, who have always done an annual fund raiser for Heads Up in honor of Heads Up rider Jack Pistonetti. This play was an added event this year. Nancy Pitchford-Zhe and her husband John Zhe were invited to this incredible event, which, by the way, was a dinner theatre experience. The Cast members were the food servers.
These kids were OUTSTANDING! Amazing talent, backed by amazing parent dedication. This was the most enjoyable play I have ever attended. And can you believe that they raised $4,796.00
